Chart-topping superstar Ed Sheeran has released his fourth studio album, titled 'Equals'.

The album marks his first solo release since his 2017 smash hit 'Divide' and his since becoming a married man and a father.

'Equals' has been one of the most highly anticipated albums of the last year, with Ed already achieving two UK number-one singles from the album, 'Shivers' and 'Bad Habits'.

Talking to Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Ed said that the album is inspired by his big life moments:

“So it’s so much questioning, and I’ve turned 30 and I feel like some of these questions have started to have answers.

“But they started to have answers through two very massive moments of my life, which is one, my daughter being born which is new life, and one my friend Michael dying which is death".

What do fans think of the new album?

With Ed Sheeran being one of the biggest artists in the world, there are a lot of people that want to share their thoughts on his newest work.

Others have commented on how it is "the cutest thing I've heard". Adding that it's "just lovely to have such a nice song to fall asleep with".

With fans positive reactions already flooding social media, there's hope that Ed will have another number one album to add to his list.
