Police have launched an investigation after the body of a dead woman was found in a lake in Stanmore.
The Metropolitan Police says it was called to reports that a body had been seen in the lake next to Howard Road at 6.29am on Sunday.
The body of a deceased woman, believed to be approximately 50 years of age, was recovered from the water with help from the London Fire Brigade.
Enquiries are under way to determine how the woman came to enter the water.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, providing the reference 2099/27JUN.
