A temporary closure and turning restrictions are among the measures due to come into effect in roads in and around Harrow from Monday due to roadworks.

The steps have been detailed in notices places by Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times.

The temporary closure is due to come into place in a section of Brampton Grove from 9am until 4.30pm on Monday for utility works

Vehicles will be prohibited from entering or exiting the road, between its junction with Bradenham Road and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 63 and 65 Brampton Grove.

The order will remain in effect until August 15, but will be lifted as soon as the works have been completed.

More utility works mean motorists will be unable to perform certain driving manoeuvres in the Sheepcote Road area from 8am until 5pm from Monday.

During these times vehicles will be prohibited from:

Turning right into access road leading to Halfords, Sheepcote Road.

Turning left into access road leading to Halfords, Sheepcote Road.

Turning right into Sheepcote Road from access road leading to Halfords.

This order will remain in place until August 25, but the works are expected to be completed by June 25.

Later this month, further traffic restrictions are due to come into effect in a section of Cuckoo Hill, again for utility works.

No waiting or loading at any time will be in place between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 27 and 29 Cuckoo Hill and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 37 and 39.

These measures are due to take effect from 8am on June 28, with the work anticipated to be finished by July 2.
