A FOOD redistribution charity that teamed up with Marcus Rashford is appealing for support to help it open a new warehouse.
Fareshare Sussex, a charity based in Brighton that redistributes leftovers, is hoping to secure funding for a depot it will use to train young people in hospitality skills and educate people on the benefits of healthy eating.
It is working in partnership with food poverty charities Foodwise and Neat2Eat to support its campaign.
The three charities have made a joint application to Your Fund Surrey, a community fund set up by Surrey County Council, to secure funding for the Woking-based warehouse.
Martin Vodden, Chair of Trustees at Foodwise, said the charities are reaching out to their supporters to ask them to vote for their funding application.

He said: “Together our organisations will help to feed the most disadvantaged in our communities, improve family cooking skills and tackle obesity.
“All of this whilst giving skills to young people, enabling them to gain work and fend for themselves as we prepare them for future employment with good qualifications and valuable skills.”
