A teenager has been charged following a fatal stabbing at Northwick Park.

The boy, 16, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon and will appear in custody at Willesden Youth Court today (November 18).

Police were called last Thursday (November 12) at 3.30pm to Northwick Park following reports of a tabbing near the underpass leading to the tube station.

Jamalie Maleek Deacon Matthew, 17, was found suffering stab injuries.

He was given first aid at the scene by officers before the London Ambulance Service arrived. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at 4.31pm.

The victim is said to be from the Harrow area and his next of kin was informed.

He became the sixteenth teenager to be murdered in the capital this year.

His family previously issued out a statement which said: "The whole family is deeply saddened and utterly devastated about the passing of Jamalie. We all knew of his ambition to study Law, and coming to terms with the tragedy that has unfolded still feels so surreal.”
