Police are investigating an incident where a man attempted to kidnap a woman.

The Metropolitan Police said it received a report that at 4:30am on Saturday, October 31, near Ravenor Park, Ruislip, the victim aged in her twenties was walking along the Ruislip Road when she was approached by a man.

He then grabbed her and pulled her in the direction of Ravenor Park, the force said.

Police said she started screaming before being able to break free and run away to seek help.

The man is described as being black, around 5ft 9ins in height, of average build, had distinctive large eyes and was wearing a black facial mask, a black hooded top, dark trousers and gloves.

Detective Valkova from West Area Command Area CID said “This incident may cause concern in the local community but please know that we are doing everything we can to find out who is responsible and that incidents of this nature are very rare.

“We would also welcome any mobile phone or dashcam footage of the suspect, which may assist with identifying him. We would urge anyone who has any information to contact us as soon as possible.”
