FURTHER to the article regarding e-scooters published in the Echo, it should reinforce that these vehicles can create an unsafe street environment for all pedestrians, but particularly those with disabilities, including sight loss.
It is essential that engagement and consultation with local disabled people and with the relevant groups who represent them is carried out to address their concerns and to ensure that an inclusive and safe street space is provided for all, including those with disabilities.
