THE Newtown Textile Museum is to open its doors again on Tuesday August 11.
Initially it will be for two days a week – Tuesdays and Fridays – from 12pm to 4pm.
All the requirements to ensure the safety of visitors and hosts will be in place and in addition to the known and loved parts of the Museum there is a new exhibition on an aspect of Newtown’s sporting history – the story of The Warehouse Eleven: the team that went to war.
The Royal Welsh Warehouse team line up in 1914.
The number of people in the Museum at any one time will to be limited, to allow social distancing, and there will be an appointment system for those wanting to ensure their place.
People can come without booking too but may need to wait if there are pre-booked groups or individuals already in the museum. For more details on all the arrangements, go to the Museum’s website: newtowntextilemuseum.co.uk.
