A man has been charged after using a tree branch to attack and injure an elderly man.
with assault causing actual bodily harm.
Simcha Hirsch, 33, of Knightland Road in Clapton, has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 19.
It follows reports of the incident in Warrant Court, Grange Hill, near Chigwell, shortly before 6.20pm on Saturday, December 7, 2019.
The victim, a man in his 70s, suffered superficial wounds after being hit over the back of a head and was kicked several times after he fell to the floor.
He was then taken to Whipps Cross University Hospital for medical treatment.
