A 34-YEAR-old man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with attempted murder following an incident in Burnley.
Georgi Voynov, 34, of Colbran Street, Burnley, was charged with the attempted murder of Abdul Muhith.
Mr Muhith suffered stab wounds to his neck and back during an incident in Cleaver Street at 6.25pm on Friday.
The Lancashire Telegraph reported over the weekend that the emergency services found a man in his 20s with a stab wound in his neck and back.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Voynov was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court where he will appear on February 24.
