Shocking CCTV footage shows the moment Jaden Moodie was struck from his moped and murdered in a ‘savage frenzy’.

At the Old Bailey today (December 11), Ayoub Majdouline, 19, of Wembley, was found guilty of murdering Jaden Moodie.

Jaden, 14, was struck from his moped and stabbed to death in Bickley Road, Leyton, on Tuesday, January 8.

The Met Police have released the shocking CCTV recording of the moment he was killed.

Detective Inspector Dave Hillier from Specialist Crime, said: “His attackers’ intentions were obvious from their face and hand coverings, an attempt to hide from any cameras, and the large knives they were carrying.

“After deliberately ramming Jaden off his moped, his attackers did not think twice about carrying out a savage, frenzied attack on him - stabbing him nine times in seven seconds while he laid defenceless on the ground. They fled the scene and left Jaden to slowly bleed to death in the middle of the road.

“However, our work is not over yet. We know that there were five people in that black Mercedes. Rest assured, our investigation is continuing around the clock and will continue to do so until all those responsible for Jaden’s murder are brought to justice.

“I’d urge anyone with any information about this terrible incident, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, to get in touch with us. Perhaps you could not speak to us at the time for a number of different reasons, but circumstances change and your information could help bring Jaden’s killers to justice.”

Command Unit, Detective Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker, added: “The brutal murder of 14-year-old Jaden Moodie, who had his whole life ahead of him, sent shockwaves through the community of Leyton, and rightly so. While it is a rare occurrence for someone so young to lose their life to violence, it is still a shocking and terrible thing to happen.

“At the time many spoke about being incensed by Jaden's murder, I want people to remember that feeling and reflect on how we can all work together to stop any more senseless violence. We must always remember that Jaden was not a young man but a child. I am very pleased that Majdouline has been found guilty of murder and London is a safer place with him behind bars.”
