Emergency services were called to a station this morning after a man was found unconscious.

The British Transport Police has confirmed it was called at 10.16am to St Albans City station today (Monday). 

A man was found unconscious and bleeding. He has been taken to hospital for treatment.

A spokesman for the BTP added: "Officers are currently conducting enquiries to establish the full facts of the incident."

Services at St Albans City and stations along the Thameslink line were affected while the incident was ongoing.

Some services were cancelled while others were delayed.

Thameslink has confirmed that services are now running in both directions but some journeys may still be delayed.
