Nearly 50 members of a church travelled north last weekend to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
It was to help raise money for a project to expand and improve the facilities at Wellspring Church in Watford.
Forty-seven members, including senior minister Reverend Tim Roberts, made the trip to Yorkshire with 25 people completing all three peaks.
Church members from as young as seven to 69 years of age set off at 6.30am on Saturday to take on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Dan Hedger, 39, managed all three peaks, despite an injured knee.
He said: "I was practically pushed up the hardest part of the climb by a lad called Benjamin - he's only nine. Amazing teamwork."
Rev Roberts sang the congregations' praises, saying: "I am so inspired by the way members of our diverse church family are doing all they can to invest even more in our local community.
"It was a glorious day, and a very long one, but every single member of the group gave their all for a great cause."
The church want to build new rooms to address growing mental health needs in the community, expand spaces for the church's thriving work with children and young people, and provide further improved facilities for use by community groups and partner charities.
So far, more than £16,000 has been raised.
