More than 200 pillows have been donated to a charity for homelessness, New Hope, which is based in Watford.
Village Hotel Watford, in Elstree, donated many of its used pillows to the charity instead of disposing them, to provide some comfort for rough sleepers and homeless people.
Joel May, the regional operations director at Village Hotel Club, said: “We’re delighted to give back to the local community and help with the fantastic service New Hope offer.
“Over 200 of our pillows will now get a new lease of life and we hope that this will help make the lives of those that are assisted by New Hope a little bit more comfortable.”
The donations of pillows forms Village Hotel Club’s wider Village Green initiative, which will see the group commit more than 30,000 hours each year to volunteering in the local communities of its 30 hotels, as well as fundraising for local causes.
