In an exciting partnership with Watford Borough Council, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekends are inviting residents to come along to a free open day at the Cassiobury Park tennis courts this weekend on Sunday, September 8.

Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekends is an initiative to help tennis venues attract new people from the local community. Thousands of free events take place throughout the summer up and down the country. The sessions have been designed to suit the whole family, including mini tennis, cardio tennis, free play and numerous other fun games to participate in.

The open day is on Sunday, September 8, from 10am to 12pm. You can book for free at www.lta.org.uk/tennisweekends

Peter Taylor, Elected Mayor of Watford, said: “Whether you’ve never picked up a racket or are a seasoned regular, there is something for everyone at the open day. The resurfaced courts we’ve invested in at Cassiobury mean tennis players can enjoy a smoother, more modern surface. I’m really proud at a time where local councils are having to make cuts that we can help put on these fantastic free events.”
