A BMW driver is believed to have been seriously injured following a crash last night.
Two fire crews and paramedics were called to Waterfields Way, Watford, at around 11.15pm, after a report of a single-vehicle collision.
Crews from Watford and Garston worked to free a man - the driver - who was trapped in his car before he was taken to hospital.
A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesman said: "At 11.16pm last night (11 August), officers were called to a single vehicle collision in Waterfields Way.
"The vehicle was a BMW which was driven by a single male occupant.
"Fire crews assisted police at the scene and the driver was later transported to hospital by ambulance, where he was reported to have received serious injuries from the collision.
"An investigation looking into the collision is about to get underway and any witnesses are encouraged to call 101, quoting ISR 792 of 11 August."
