A signal failure is causing major disruption for passengers travelling via Watford Junction this evening.

A trespasser is also causing chaos too on tube lines this evening.

Thousands of commuters are currently stranded at London Euston after a signal failure with passengers along the London Northwestern railway line affected.

However, National Rail has just confirmed (at 5.13pm) that all lines are open and services will now begin to return to normal - however, disruption is still to be expected and trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Anyone travelling between Euston and Milton Keynes and further north can expect delays to their journeys - so this includes Harrow & Wealdstone, Bushey, Watford Junction, Kings Langley, Apsley, and Hemel Hempstead passengers.

Numerous services have been delayed or cancelled.

A rail replacement shuttle is running via Watford Junction calling at Kings Langley, Apsley, HemelHempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring in both directions.

Tickets are being accepted on Virgin Trains, East Midland Trains, Chiltern Railway, Cross Country services, Greatwestern Railway, London Overground, Thameslink, and Southern Rail services.

National Rail is reporting disruption can be expected until 8pm.

There are also problems on the Met line this evening.

There is currently no service between Harrow on the Hill and Aldgate due to a trespasser on the track at Willesden Green. There are severe delays on the rest of the line. Tickets are being accepted on local buses.

The Jubilee line is also affected between Wembley Park and Finchley Road with no services running between the two stations.

Severe delays on the rest of the line.
