A cyclist died soon after a crash on the A41 today (Wednesday).
Police have confirmed the man was involved in a collision between a bike and a Suzuki Swift near Hemel Hempstead at around 2.30pm.
He died at the scene.
It happened on a stretch of road between Hemel and Berkhamsted. The A41 between Kings Langley and Bourne End remains closed as police carry out an investigation .
The victim's family are aware and are being supported by specially trained liasion officers. Police are appealing for witnesses.

PC Carl Callan, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this very difficult time.
"We are currently working to establish the circumstances around what happened and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or events leading up to it, to please come forward. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage of the incident.”

The A41 remains closed northbound and as a result there are delays through Kings Langley, Apsley, and Hemel Hempstead.
The A41 between Hunton Bridge and the M25, the A41 southbound between Hemel and Kings Langley, and Hempstead Road/London Road and Belswains Lane in the direction of Hemel remain very busy this evening.
