Watford FC has been recognised as having the Premier League’s best matchday hospitality.

Vicarage Road Stadium’s variety of hospitality experiences were scored greater than all of England’s top-flight football clubs by VisitFootball.

It is the independent customer experience assessor from LiveTourism, which aims to improve customer experiences.

Watford Chairman and CEO Scott Duxbury called the success an “outstanding achievement”.

He said: “It is one thing aiming to provide the highest standards possible at all times, yet for this to happen consistently under the spotlight of Premier League matchdays is an outstanding achievement.”

Since the club’s first assessment during the 2015/16 season, the Hornet’s matchday experiences have improved for supporters.

Duxbury added that new hospitality offerings will be opening for the upcoming Premier League season - and will “enjoy” the challenge of maintaining high standards for guests.

He said: “To excel in the eyes of independent assessors is only possible due to the collaborative nature of our work here, allied to a team spirit which is the envy of many other clubs.

“I have already offered my sincere thanks to all of our staff involved in creating such a special atmosphere and experience at our Premier League home fixtures.”
