Online food delivery service Just Eat is likely to axe a number of jobs - and dozens could be at risk at its call centre in Borehamwood.
The Borehamwood Times understands that staff at its offices in Imperial Place, Borehamwood, have been notified and a consultation is set to get underway.
Just Eat, which operates in 13 countries in Europe, Australia, North America and South America, says it is proposing to merge its existing customer and restaurant operations.
A spokeswoman for Just Eat told the Times: "At our full year results we talked about organising the business to better execute our strategy at pace. To ensure our operations are set up to deliver the best possible service we are proposing to merge our existing customer and restaurant operations teams into one global unified team.
"Subject to consultation, this will result in a number of potential redundancies in the UK. We recognise the impact this may have on our people and we will of course offer full support to those affected during this time."
