Golfers can raise money for a charity that helps people with cancer and other serious illnesses.

The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood will hold a golf day at Denham Golf Club in Buckinghamshire on June 4.

The centre, at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood, provides CT, MRI and PE-CT scans to diagnose and monitor patients with cancer and other serious conditions.

The 18-hole competition will raise money for better scanning equipment and further medical research.

Along with prizes, contestants will be offered coffee and rolls when they arrive and a three-course meal with their team mates, which are all included in the £100 entry fee.

Denham Golf Club is in Tilehouse Lane, Denham, Bucks, UB9 5DE.

Registration begins at 10am, with a shotgun start 11am. To book places, call 01923 844290.
