A leisure centre is celebrating International Women’s Day with energising exercise classes.
Harrow Leisure Centre managed by Everyone Active is celebrating women this month by offering them the chance to get active in one or two free classes on March 8.
The free classes aim to bring groups of women together to acknowledge and share their work experiences and successes.
Everyone Active general manager Iain Milton said: “Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide recognising women’s achievements, from the political to the social, while calling for gender equality.”
He added: “It is really important that we join in this celebration and put on activities to bring women of all backgrounds and circles together to celebrate their achievements.”
The classes are on March 8 and includes a class called ‘Pound’ at 11.30am which focuses on legs, bum, core and arms. The second session is a Ballet Dance class which starts at 12.15pm.
