Direct from London’s renowned jazz club, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars take to the road to celebrate the venue’s 60th anniversary. The club’s acclaimed house musicians play at artsdepot on Wednesday, March 6.

Featuring classic music from the jazz greats who have performed at Ronnie Scott’s, alongside projected archive images and rare footage from the club, The Ronnie Scott’s Story is an exclusive glimpse into the famous venue. Hosted and performed by the award-winning Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, this is a unique evening celebrating the music and history of Ronnie Scott’s and is a must for any music fan.

Life at Ronnie’s is evocatively re-imagined through tales of the club’s past visitors, from pop stars, film stars and politicians to comedians and royalty, but above all, the musicians.

Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club was founded in 1959 as a basement music bar where musicians would jam, and has become an internationally acclaimed music venue. Over the years, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club has showcased the music of some of the world’s greatest and most influential artists, hosting landmark performances from the likes of Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck and Michael Bublé, and presenting surprise appearances by the likes of Jamie Cullum, Stevie Wonder and Prince.

The night is performed by the award-winning Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, led by the Club’s Musical Director, James Pearson, on the piano. All house musicians at the famous club, the band masters an incredible repertoire of jazz music inspired by the venue’s outstanding line-ups.
