A three and a half tonne digger worth £30,000 was stolen from a construction site.
CCTV at the housing development site in Thornwood shows men breaking in and smashing the vehicle's windows in the early hours of Friday, February 8.
The men were then seen removing gates owned by a farmer at Weald Hall Lane Farm before loading the machine into the back of a lorry.
Robert Swann, director of R.A. Swann Ltd, based in Bishops Stortford, said police have done little to help since the incident took place.
“It’s annoying and very concerning that it could happen again,” he said. “We are not used to these crimes.
“We shared it across Facebook the Saturday after it happened, we have followed up a few leads but no success.”
Described as an orange and black Hanix H36 model, the digger was only bought two years ago.
The machine was parked near the McDonald's on the M11 before it was stolen. It was then tracked travelling two miles across fields to where it was loaded into the back of a lorry.
Mr Swann believes it was an organised burglary by people who specialise in these crimes.
