Oxhey Jets scored late on to rescue a point in a 3-3 draw away at Tring Athletic in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division.

Sean Giordmania struck two minutes into injury time after goals from Kyle Johnson and Scott Bonner had previously had Jets 2-1 in front.

Johnson, who had scored four goals for Athletic earlier in the season, got the Jets off the mark after 32 minutes, when he found space and shot past Connor Sansom, but Jack Humphrey headed Tring level with his first for the club.

Jets restored their lead before the break as their first corner of the game resulted in Scott Bonner heading in but Tring came back in the second half and led 3-2 by the 70th minute through James Verney and Ashton Campbell.

However, there was to be one final twist in the match as Sansom could only push away an effort from Johnson and Giordmania was on hand to tuck away the loose ball from a tight angle.

Bovingdon continued their charge at the top of Division Two of the Spartan South Midlands League with a resounding 8-0 win against The 61 FC.

Jay Wilson scored a hat-trick while Ryan Charles’ brace and solo goals for Ed Canham and Matt Standen helped to ensure the big victory.

Northwood had a good week in the Bostik League South Central Division, drawing 1-1 with play-off hopefuls Tooting & Mitcham United before recording a 4-1 win away at lowly South Park.

Sam Jenkins struck in the second half to equalise against Tooting & Mitcham after Saidou Khan had given them the lead.

The hosts took the lead on 44 minutes when Khan finished from Antonio Simeone’s long ball, but Woods levelled early in the second half when Jenkins got to Stevens’ free-kick.

Northwood continued to quell any danger from the home side throughout the remainder of the second half and came away with a respectable point.

On the road once again on Tuesday night, Woods picked up an excellent 4-1 away at South Park which extended their unbeaten away run to four games.

Gosling, in for the unavailable Dan Pett, gave the visitors the lead, finishing well from Charles’ threaded through ball.

Alex Witham added the second before the break, opening his account for the club from Stevens’ backheel and the third came when Imran Uche drilled home from the edge of the area.

Laraba added a fourth after the interval but South Park, who battled all the way, scored a deserved consolation goal through Matty Males with two minutes on the clock.

Leverstock Green recorded their first win in eight games in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division with a 2-1 win away at Wembley FC.

The hosts came into the game unbeaten in seven but Leverstock took a shock lead in the 26th minute when Jamal Howe tapped in after Montel Joseph had saved on the line.

Wembley were reduced to 10 men on 57 minutes but equalised moments later through Charlie Weir’s stunning bicycle kick. However, Leverstock finally took advantage of the disparity in numbers as Reece Cameron teed up Luke Preedy to restore the lead, which saw them hold on for victory.

Finally, Berkhamsted and Sutton Coldfield cancelled each other out in a 0-0 draw between two play-off chasing sides.

It was the Comrades’ fourth draw on the trot, and it leaves them just one place shy of a play-off spot, two points behind Thame and two ahead of Sutton Coldfield.

After the game, experienced midfielder Elliott Godfrey announced his retirement. After starting at Watford, he was capped by Canada at U20 and U23 level while also playing higher up in non-league for many years.
