A MAN who drove a mobility scooter while drunk, stole a money box containing £650 and threatened to shoot police has been remanded in custody.
Andrew Bryson had been attending Crosshouse Hospital on January 6 of this year when he stole the money box.
He shouted, swore, made threats of violence, challenged people to fight and struck his head against a police vehicle causing injury to himself.
He threatened to spit on police stating he had the hepatitis C virus, headbutted a wall and threatened to shoot officers.
Bryson, 40, also drove a mobility scooter on Glencairn Street in Saltcoats with 35 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on December 28.
Bryson, of McIsaac Road in Saltcoats, pled guilty to three charges last week at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court. Sentence was deferred until March 1.
