A police investigation has been launched after a suspicious white powder was sent to a man in a suspected racial attack.

Forensic police sealed off an address in Croxley Green after receiving reports that an envelope containing white powder had been found on December 11.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said they are treating the incident as a “racially aggravated malicious communications offence” and that they are offering support to the victim.

The powder was later found to be an “organic food stuff” and police believe there is no threat to the wider public.

A criminal investigation is underway.
