Harrow Town Centre BID celebrated its biggest Christmas event yet when 92,787 people turned out.

Thousands enjoyed meeting Santa in his grotto, live performances and taking pictures with well-known children’s characters when the lights went on outside St George’s shopping centre on November 24.

Gifts were given, faces were painted and special appearances by the BBC and the Premier League’s Super Movers Crew were among many festive delights enjoyed before a firework display lit up the night sky.

Peter Rabbit, The Snowman and The Snowdog also joined in for a few pictures with the kids.

Louise Baxter, BID manager said: “The event is paid for by the town centre businesses as they wanted to give something back to the community that would not only raise a smile but create a positive experience for the people of Harrow.

“The event was well received by the general public, and we have had some great feedback saying they had a fantastic time. The pressure is on to make next year even bigger and better.”
