Armed police and a dog unit were called to a housing estate after reports of gunshots.
Police were called at 7.06pm on Sunday with reports of shots fired in Grange Farm Close in Harrow.
An armed response unit, the National Police Air Service and the Met’s Dog Unit performed a search of the area for victims and suspects.
However, officers did not find any evidence of shots being fired.
No injuries were reported and no arrests were made, but police enquiries continue.
