Members of Harrow’s independent charity were thrilled to spend a day out thanks to a recent donation.
Around 25 adults (members and carers) with Mencap, thoroughly enjoyed a boat trip after receiving more than £1,000 donation from Wembley (Brent) Lions.
Mencap works to provide services for people with learning disabilities in Harrow, and helps more than 500 people every year.
The group decided to spend the money on a boat trip, 20 new chairs for the community centre and put the rest into its own charity account.
The team at Brent Lions, works to help the less fortunate and the needy all over the borough.
Visit the Mencap website for more information.
