The following cases were heard before magistrates between August 15 and 18.

Monday, August 15

Edyta Marzena Pitonak, 29, of Fuller Road, Watford. On July 2, 2016, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 142 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months. Disqualified from driving for 32 months. Fine, costs: £200.

Sharon Denise Hoang, 47, of Rickmansworth Road, Watford. On August 12, 2016, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Fine, costs: £235.

Christopher Thomas James Turner, 25, of Meadow Road, Bushey. On May 17, 2016, damaged a vehicle belonging to another person. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Restraining order made. Compensation, costs: £690.

Tuesday, August 16

John Alexander Koster, 52, of Liverpool Road, Watford. On March 12, 2016, used a vehicle when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely cocaine, in his blood exceeded the specified limit. Disqualified from driving for 14 months. Fine, costs: £365.

Stefan Bichisan, 26, of The Parade, Watford. On January 21, 2016, being the driver of a vehicle caused the vehicle to stop in a pedestrian crossing controlled area. Fine, costs: £145. Three penalty points.

Rebecca Bignell, 22, of Woodcock Hill Estate, Rickmansworth. On January 20, 2016, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 40mph. Fine, costs: £341. Six penalty points.

Alistair Blake, 27, of Clarkfield, Mill End, Rickmansworth. On January 20, 2016, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 40mph. Fine, costs: £448. Six penalty points.

Iain Smith, 30, of Mildred Avenue, Watford. On April 27, 2016, failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fine, costs: £811. Six penalty points.

Shyamala Thalayasingam, 62, of The Drive, Rickmansworth. On January 20, 2016, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 40mph. Fine, costs: £817. Six penalty points.

Mark Wilson, 47, of Water Lane, Kings Langley. On January 26, 2016, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Fine, costs: £360. Six penalty points.

Wednesday, August 17

Bradley Alan John Bleir-Wiggs, 26, of Starling Place, Watford. On June 28, 2016, had with him in a public place an offensive weapon. On same date, made a telephone call which conveyed a threat for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient. On June 27, 2016, assaulted a person by beating her. On June 29, 2016, assaulted a person by beating him. Committed to prison for 14 weeks. Costs: £200.

Thursday, August 18

Ben Eric Kempster, 33, of Desmond Road, Watford. On July 28, 2016, stole wine and Lucozade belonging to McColls. On August 12, 2016, failed to surrender to custody. Fine, compensation, costs: £180.66.

Marcus Charles Droy, 47, of Avalon Close, Watford. Between July 20, 2016, and July 31, 2016, pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a person. Restraining order made. Fine, costs: £235.

Nicholas John Couldridge, 40, of The Bourne, Bovingdon. Between April 17, 2016, and April 25, 2016, pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a person. On April 17, 2016, assaulted a person by beating her. Three counts. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 240 hours within the next 12 months. Restraining order made. Compensation, costs: £855.

Joanne Louise Davidson, 36, of St Albans Road, Watford. On February 1, 2016, being the driver of a vehicle owing to the presence of which on a road an accident occurred whereby injury was caused to another person and she failed to stop. On same date, failed to report the accident at a police station or to a constable; used a vehicle without insurance. Fine, costs: £355. Six penalty points.

Rakesh Jethwa, 36, of Bramshot Way, Watford. On December 3, 2015, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Fine, costs: £205. Three penalty points.

Simon John Duffy, 51, of Vicarage Road, Watford. On January 26, 2016, failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Two counts. Disqualified from driving for six months. Fine, costs: £1,471. Six penalty points.
