Families eagerly counted down the seconds as they waited for this year’s Christmas lights to be switched on.
Children and parents from St John Fisher School turned out to help Harrow Mayor cllr Krishna Suresh switch the North Harrow Festive Lights on November 19.
The event was organized by the North Harrow Community Partnership with the help of Harrow Council.
The Mayor watched the performances by the children from St John Fisher School, before beginning the countdown to switch on the lights.
The Sagar restaurant put on refreshments which were enjoyed by a large number of children, parents and neighburs.
Kamal Shah, partnership chairman, said: “We are grateful to St John Fisher School, Nower Hill School and Harrow Council, who support The North Harrow Community Partnership to put on events in North Harrow.
“It is our aim to make North Harrow a vibrant place to live and work in”.
