RECORD BREAKERS - SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
Got anything planned this weekend? If you have children or grandchildren aged between 4 and 11, are they planning on breaking any records Saturday morning?
Harrow Libraries are launching their Summer Reading Challenge at Kenton Library this Saturday, 11th July.
I’m going to be one of the witnesses in the morning as the children pledge to read six books this summer to complete the challenge.
What they have to do is after they have read a book, come and tell a member of staff what they thought of the book. Every time they bring two books back, they will receive a prize and if they manage to read all six books, they will receive a special gold medal and certificate, plus a free swim pass from Everyone Active.
And even more, if they do manage to read all six books, they will be entered into a prize draw. So come along with the children on Saturday and let them get involved.
Hope to see you there!
