Volunteers are preparing Harrow's entry for the London New Year’s Day parade.
Boroughs form across the capital are putting the finishing touches to their entries for the show which this year has the theme of ‘London on the move’.
Harrow’s entry for the event on January 1 will include a fully refurbished traditional 1850s hay cart.
The Wiseworks organisation has spent the past two months preparing the cart and taking it for a test run.
Mayor of Harrow Councillor Ajay Maru said: “The 2015 New Year’s Day Parade will be very special for Harrow.
“Our entry synchronises ideas to reflect the theme ‘London on the Move’ with our 1850s hay cart moving through time, carrying Harrow's vulnerable children, who are our future, to the present day.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed in this project. The volunteers at Wiseworks have done an excellent job.
“By bringing together volunteer mental health service user apprentices and young performers from our diverse community Harrow has created this inspiring narrative - made by their own hands - deserving of the top prize.
“May I encourage Harrow residents who are able to join us on New Year’s Day to watch the Parade, which promises to be truly spectacular.”
