Folk at the Maltings welcomes husband and wife duo Will Finn and Rosie Calvert as guests at a concert on Friday, May 3 at 8pm at the Maltings Arts Theatre. They will be joined by singer and songwriter Odette Michell, and New Roots 2017 and 2018 finalist Clarke Camilleri.

Will Finn and Rosie Calvert are singers first and foremost. Their voices complement in the way family performers do, with aural choices made by gut before ear, instinctively knowing when to twist and turn for listener intrigue and honed through years of singing about the house and in the car.

Will and Rosie are both graduates of the Folk and Traditional Music BA at Newcastle University and their a capella harmony quartet The Teacups has been taking the folk festival circuit by storm for the past eight years, performing all over the UK and beyond.

Odette Michell is a British folk singer and songwriter with a stunning new take on the acoustic tradition and a voice capable of demonstrating the finer points of both folk and traditional song with genuine craftsmanship.

Clarke Camilleri is a troubadour, songwriter and poet. He is part of a new generation of folk singers who want to bring on the new with an appreciation of the old. He aims to sing with the past, but write for the present.
