A festival of contemporary craft and design is coming to a stately home in Hertfordshire.

Living Crafts will take place at Hatfield House from Thursday, May 9, to Sunday, May 12.

Perfect for craft lovers, Living Crafts is a one-stop creative and shopping experience showcasing the talents and skills of hundreds of acclaimed designer-makers. Celebrating contemporary, British craft of an exceptional standard, visitors to Living Crafts can buy unique designs or commission beautifully crafted work direct from the specially selected makers. Enjoy spectacular craft demonstrations, masterclasses and workshops and have an inspiring day out in the magnificent setting of Hatfield House.

The event will be packed with beautiful work by exceptional British designer-makers from across the UK. With an exciting fresh look and a new showground layout with bigger and brighter pavilions packed with amazing work, this event is a fantastic creative experience for all ages.

Living Crafts will be buzzing with crafting action featuring plenty of demonstrations, workshops and entertainment, giving you a fantastic value day out and a crafty day to remember.

Buy direct from the specially selected makers whose work has been carefully vetted for originality or commission a special piece at the show. Event highlights include the Sculpture Spectacular, Art Centre, living history village, studio glassblowing and the popular food and drink pavilion. Wonderful workshops include everything from textile block printing, throwing a pot and origami to chocolate and papermaking. Willow will be woven, limestone carved, Raku pots glazed, felt rolled and ceramics sculpted as visitors try a new craft, there is a great choice for both adults and children.

New for 2019 are blacksmithing, jewellery making and crochet workshops with all materials provided.
