(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2020
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has
made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using
the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access
and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both
sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Theobald Street, Borehamwood from its junction
with B5378 Allum Lane north westwards to its junction with
Stratfield Road, a distance of approximately 425m.
An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183 (Watling
Street/Cobden Hill/ Watling Street) and Theobald Street.
2. that length of B5378 Allum Lane, Borehamwood from its
junction with Theobald Street south westwards to its junction
with Deacons Hill Road, a distance of approximately 197m.
An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183
(Watling Street/Cobden Hill/ Watling Street/Radlett Road/
Frogmore/Park Street/Watling Street), A414 North Orbital Road
and B5378 (Shenley Lane/Shenleybury/Black Lion Hill/London
Road/Woodhall Lane/ Green Street/Cowley Hill/Shenley Road).
3. that length of B5378 Shenley Road, Borehamwood from its
junction with Glenhaven Avenue south westwards to its junction
with Theobald Street, a distance of approximately 62m.
An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183
(Watling Street/Cobden Hill/ Watling Street/Radlett Road/
Frogmore/Park Street/Watling Street), A414 North Orbital Road
and B5378 (Shenley Lane/Shenleybury/Black Lion Hill/London
Road/Woodhall Lane/Green Street/Cowley Hill/Shenley Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be
executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 July
2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions
specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs
on or near the Roads.

County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9am and 5pm
(excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
