(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2020

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2020
NOTICE is giventhatHertfordsliire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of theRoad Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit allvehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads("the Roads"), exceptfor access and to prohibitall vehiclesfromwaiting at anytimeonboth sides of these lengthsofRoads whilstworks are in progress:-
1. that length of TheobaldStreet, Borehamwood from its junction withB5378 Allum Lane north westwards to its junction with StratfieldRoad, adistance of approximately 425m.

An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183 (WatlingStreet/CobdenHill/Watling Street) and Theobald Street.
2. thatlength of B5378 Allum Lane, Borehamwoodfrom its junction with Theobald Street south westwards to itsjunction withDeacons HillRoad,a distanceof approximately 197m. An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183 (WatlingStreet/CobdenHill/Watling Street/Radlett Road/ Frogmore/Park Street/Watling Street), A414 North Orbital Road and B5378 (ShenleyLane/Shenleybury/Black LionHill/London Road/WoodhallLane/GreenStreet/CowleyHill/ShenleyRoad).

3. that length of B5378 Shenley Road,Borehamwood fromits junction with Glenhaven Avenue south westwards to itsjunction with Theobald Street, adistance of approximately 62m.

An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183 (Watling Street/CobdenHill/Watling Street/RadlettRoad/Frogmore/Park Street/WatlingStreet), A414 North Orbital Road and B5378 (Shenley Lane/Shenleybury/Black Lion Hill/London Road/Woodhall Lane/Green Street/CowleyHill/Shenley Road). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or nearthe Roads.
If theOrderismade, it shallcome intoforceon13July 2020 for aperiodofupto18months.However, the restrictions specified shall onlytake effect at the timesindicated by signs on or nearthe Roads.
