People are being warned to check their smoke alarms are working properly after crews were called to extinguish a house fire yesterday.
Fire engines from Watford and Garston attended a blaze in Durban Road, in west Watford, at 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
Garston Fire Station tweeted a reminder that people should check their smoke alarms as “smoke kills”.
