Around 100 people took part in an interfaith pilgrimage to celebrate a national awareness week.

Dignitaries and faith members came together for a pilgrimage for Interfaith Week on Sunday, organised by the Watford Interfaith Association.

The pilgrims walked to Vel Murugan Temple, where a priest performed an aarti blessing with candles and bells, before moving to a mosque where they were greeted by Imam Saleem, who spoke about the tenets of Islam, before they continues to the Holy Rood Catholic Church.

The event finished at the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara where the pilgrims shared a hot meal together after the day's walk.

Those joining the pilgrims included Yogesh Joshi, committee member of the Watford Interfaith Association, George Jabbour, Conservative mayoral candidate and Laura Roberts, whose Brownie pack served Mitzvah Day refreshments.
