A policeman accused of using unnecessary force on a vulnerable woman will face a misconduct hearing next week.
PC Kirk Dawson attended a young person’s hostel in the Watford area on March 25, 2016.
While talking to the victim at the hostel, it is alleged that PC Dawson approached her and, for no lawful reason, pushed her backwards against the kitchen units, grabbed her with both hands and entered into a physical struggle with her.
Despite this use of force on a vulnerable adult, it is alleged that PC Dawson failed to record the matter in his pocket notebook or complete any use of force forms.
If proven, his conduct will amount to gross misconduct.
The misconduct hearing will take place on September 26-27 at The Old Court House, Biggleswade, Bucks.
