Striking images of a thunderstorm as it raged in the skies above Watford have been caught on camera.
Weather warnings were issued earlier on Tuesday, with thunder, lightning and heavy rain predicted to reach us by the evening.
And the forecast did not disappoint, with the storm duly arriving by about 8pm.
This video showing lightning lighting up the sky was recorded by Watford resident Danielle Bradford.

Luckily Watford did not suffer the worst of the storm.
In Coverack, Cornwall, properties were damaged and several people had to be rescued as raging torrents of water swept through the village.
And in Kent, flash flooding lead to people being trapped in their homes.
