A petition opposing the planned closure of Nascot Lawn - signed by more than 14,000 people - is being presented to county councillors today.
The Langley Road facility is a lifeline for families with severely disabled children but parents received a letter from Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group last month informing them that centre would be closing in October.
Watford borough councillors met last week and voted unanimously in favour of saving the centre from closing. Families have also enlisted legal aid in an attempt to overturn the decision.
County councillors are meeting in Hertford this morning to discuss the planned closure. Our reporter Morgan Condon is at the meeting and will be providing updates later today.
