The UK terror threat level has been raised to maximum following the Manchester attack.

This is the first time in a decade the level has been set this high, and means that another attack could be imminent.

Prime Minister Theresa May raised the threat level from severe to critical after a bomb killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert on Monday, May 22.

She said: “The work undertaken throughout the day has revealed that there is a possibility that we cannot ignore, that there is a wider group of individuals involved in this attack.”

Watford Observer:

Of the 21,000 people attending the sell-out gig at Manchester arena, 119 people have been injured, with 59 of them reporting serious injuries.

Many of the people at the performance targeted by 22-year-old suicide bomber Salman Abedi were children and teenagers.

Abedi was a lone attacker who died at the arena when detonating his improvised suicide device, but police are investigating whether he was working alone.
