PSG and Monaco are reportedly set to battle it out to sign Watford winger Richarlison this summer.

After a scintillating start to the campaign, a loss of form has seen the Brazilian lose his place in the Watford starting XI and he has not started either of their last two games.

In spite of his recent struggles, the 20-year-old is said to remain a target for the two Ligue 1 sides and a bid of £40 million believed to be enough to secure his services.

Such a deal would represent a considerable profit on the £11.2m Watford paid Fluminense to sign Richarlison last summer.

Richarlison initially showed few signs of struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League and found the net five times in his first 13 games on English soil.

His early season form attracted attention from some of the Premier League’s top sides with the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur linked with a potential move.

However, since scoring in a 2-0 defeat of West Ham United in November, Richarlison has lost his goalscoring touch and failed to register in 22 games.

A move to PSG would in no way guarantee a starting berth for the Watford number 11, with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Edison Cavani providing a plethora of attacking options at Parc des Princes.
