Craig Cathcart will look make his first outing since August after being selected for the Northern Ireland squad for a friendly against South Korea.

The centre-back returned to the Watford match day squad as he took a place on the bench at Anfield and has been back in training for the past few weeks.

His nations’ friendly game could provide the ideal chance to get some much needed minutes under his belt as he looks to recover to full fitness.

Northern Ireland’s clash kicks off at 2pm on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Orestis Karnezis will attempt to carry his strong form at club level onto the international scene when Greece take on Switzerland and Egypt.

A home game with Switzerland (Friday 7pm) starts his schedule over the course of the international break before a visit to Egypt next Tuesday, also a 7pm kick-off.

The second of the two matches could see Karnezis face off against Mohamed Salah again – a player he will be sick of the sight of after the Liverpool man put four past him in Saturday’s 5-0 loss at Anfield.

Andre Carrillo is a near-cert to feature for Peru as they prepare for their first World Cup outing in 35 years with friendlies against Croatia (Saturday) and Iceland (next Wednesday).

Both games are being played in America and kick-off at midnight and 1am respectively.

Sebastian Prodl will be in action for Austria as they take on Slovenia on Friday (7.45pm) and follow that home game up with a visit to Luxembourg next Tuesday (7.30pm).

Finally, Molla Wague, who is no longer in Watford's 25-man squad, is in the Mali team which will take on japan and Belgium in European-based friendlies.
