Watford's Premier League meeting with Manchester City is set to change date.

The Hornets were due to travel to Etihad Stadium on New Year's Day for a 3pm kick-off with the current league leaders.

However, the Cityzens clash with Crystal Palace has since been selected for TV coverage by BT Sport and will now be played on New Year's Eve.

No new date or kick-off time has yet been set, but Watford have confirmed details of the rescheduled game will be revealed by Friday, October 27.

Watford will be hoping for a better showing than their meeting with City earlier in the campaign, which saw Pep Guardiola's side run riot in a 6-0 win.

The news comes in the wake of the latest raft of Premier League games being chosen for TV.

None of Watford's matches between the start of December and Thursday, December 28 have been chosen.

Televised matches between December 30 and the end of January will be announced before the end of October.
