A solid innings from Ian Schmid helped Parkfield and Headstone earn a draw against St Albans West Indian on Saturday in Hertfordshire Division Five.
Parkfield faced a total of 236 for eight but they managed to battle their way to a score of 170 for five.
Schmid picked up a back injury during the game but still finished on a valuable 71 for the hosts.
In Division Nine, the seconds earned their best win of the season as they defeated Datchworth by 94 runs. Ian Dix hit 42 as they were out for 150.
But a stunning bowling performance by Craig Rivers, taking five for 23, helped dismantle the opposition for just 56 in 25 overs.
