Attoh leaps to gold

Harrow's Jade Attoh won gold in the Under-17 Intermediate Girls triple jump at the English School's Track & Field Championships at the weekend.

The 16-year-old from Heathfields School won the event at Gateshead with a leap of with a jump of 11.65 metres.

"Despite the weather I was pleased with how I performed," said Attoh.

"It's even better because I was sixth in the finals last year so it goes to prove that with some hard work I have got better over the last twelve months. Hopefully the hard work will improve me further so I will get better and better."
