Tim Murtagh grabbed a ten-wicket match haul as Middlesex completed a crushing County Championship Division Two victory over rivals Essex this afternoon.
The former Surrey seamer claimed four second innings wickets - to add to his six from the first innings - to record match figures of ten for 127 as Middlesex won by an innings and 38 runs.
If Murtagh was the star with the ball then Owais Shah was the hero with the bat, stroking a glorious 144 that is likely to have grabbed the attention of the England selectors.
